Aerial & topographic image tie-in and adjustment
Aerial capture with a DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0, tied to ground control and processed into orthophotography and topographic mapping.
What this is
A drone photograph is not by itself a measurement. It becomes an orthophoto or a topographic map you can scale from only once it has been tied to ground control points whose coordinates are already known, and adjusted onto them. That tie-in is the step that determines how accurate the result is — not the camera.
What you end up with
Georeferenced orthophotography, updated topographic mapping and a digital surface model — a current record of the site captured quickly, and without putting anyone on unstable ground to get it.
