Road & railway surveying
Geodetic measurement, control and processing along road and railway alignments, from route investigation through to in-service monitoring.
What this is
A road or a railway is a linear structure, not a point — so measurement error does not stay where it was made, it accumulates along the alignment. The purpose of geodetic work on a route is to hold accuracy consistent over its whole length, which is achieved through a closely spaced control network and repeated verification rather than through a single careful measurement.
What you end up with
A stable geodetic framework along the route, as-built survey against it, and a settlement and deformation record for the finished line.
- 01Geodetic control network along the alignment
- 02Class II and III levelling
- 03Topographic survey for road widening and upgrades
- 04Setting-out and as-built verification
- 05Settlement and deformation monitoring for embankments and bridges
Where it is used
- Preliminary investigation of a new alignment
- Verification during construction
- Settlement monitoring in service
- Widening and upgrade works
Standards and norms
Work is delivered against Mongolian statute and construction norms.
